Description

Sculptra 5ml is a next-generation collagen biostimulator designed to rebuild the skin from within. Made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), it works deep in the dermis to restore facial volume, improve skin structure, and reduce visible signs of aging. By primarily stimulating the production of type I collagen, Sculptra targets the root cause of facial aging, leading to gradual, natural rejuvenation.

Sculptra is supplied as a sterile powder, reconstituted with sterile water, and injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer. Treatment typically involves 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with results that evolve naturally and last long-term.

Key ingredients: 

Each vial of dry powder contains:

• 150 mg Poly-L-lactic acid
• 90mg Sodium carboxymethylcellulose
• 127,5mg Non-pyrogenic mannitol

Results:

Results from Sculptra develop gradually, as it stimulates collagen production to restore volume, smooth lines, and improve skin firmness. The effects can last up to two years, providing long-term rejuvenation with a natural, youthful appearance.

Technique & protocol in general:

• Draw 5ml of sterile water into a 5ml syringe using an 18G sterile needle
• Reconstitute Sculptra dry powder with the 5 ml of sterile water for injection. Shake the vial for 1 minute until fully mixed. If necessary, add up to 3 ml of additional sterile water
• Use a new 18G sterile needle to draw the appropriate amount into a 1ml syringe
• Switch to a 25G or 26G sterile needle or 22G cannula for injection
• Inject into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer, depending on the treated area and desired outcome
• Inject with a 30-40 degrees angle until the desired skin depth is reached
• For the first session, perform a limited correction, as results gradually develop
• Massage the treated area periodically during the session for even distribution

Technique & protocol youthful glow (cheeks, submalar, temples):

• Use a 26G needle or 22G Cannula (temples: only cannula)
• Injection depth: Subdermal
• Recommended technique: Fan technique with cannula or short retro injection with needle
• 1-2 sessions with 45 days in between, 1 vial per session in total

Technique & protocol renewed volume (submalar, anterior temples):

• Use a 26G needle or 21G Cannula (temples: only cannula)
• Injection depth: Subdermal
• Recommended technique: Fan technique with cannula or short retro injection with needle
• 3-4 sessions with 45 days in between, 1-2 vials per session in total

Technique & protocol filling lift due to volume loss (zygomatic, temporal regions):

• Use a 26G needle or 22G Cannula (temples: only cannula)
• Injection depth: Subdermal
• Recommended technique: Fan technique with cannula or short retro injection with needle
• Average 3 sessions with 45 days in between, 1 vial per session in total

Technique & protocol slimming lift (pre-auricular, anterior/posterior temporal region):

• Use a 22G Cannula (temples: only cannula)
• Injection depth: Subdermal
• Recommended technique: Fan technique
• 3-6 sessions with 45 days in between, 1-2 vials per session in total

Precaution:

• Sculptra should only be used in the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer
• Do not inject Sculptra using needles smaller than 25G or 26G
• Always reconstitute the dry powder with sterile water for injection
• Avoid overcorrecting, as results improve gradually within several weeks
• Do not inject into the lips (vermillion) or around the eyes (periorbital area)
• Avoid superficial injections or treating areas with thin skin to reduce the risk of lumps or uneven texture
• Do not use in individuals allergic to any ingredient, or with a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
